Submit Your Articles

Do you love to write? Or maybe you ‘ve never written but you feel compelled to share something. We think you have something to offer. We want to hear from you.

Ordinary events, life-changing chapters, epiphanies great and small, learning by trial and error, wisdom from a season, hilarious incidents…we want to hear what you have to say. We want to know about your experiences and how you navigated through them.

Send your articles to submissions@shehasworth.org.

Here are some ideas to help you get started:

  • Take a stroll through our article archives for inspiration and the basic format She Has Worth uses.
  • As a basic rule, your submissions should be between 500-1,100 words in length.
  • Include a short bio (around 125 words) with your submission
  • Make it anecdotal. The most interesting articles are ones that tell a personal story. Don’t be afraid to get vulnerable.
  • Before you submit, create an account at gravatar.com with the email from which you’ve sent your submission. This is to ensure we have a guest user and photo for you.
  • Make sure it’s titled.
  • She Has Worth is a faith-based organization, which means that most of our articles will at some point relate back to God, our relationships with Him, and how that effects our daily lives.
  • Original content only.

Maybe you’re wondering, “But what do I write about?”  We want others to know they are not alone in their struggles and have a platform to be real. Sometimes life is hard, it’s okay to be honest about it. We also want to offer hope and grace in every situation and place value on others.

We have designed nine categories on the site, but we’d love to see your own unique spin. And yes, your article may span multiple topics.

Here’s a brief description about each topic:

  • Adventure: Life is an adventure and a wild ride. Tell us about your experiences. Tell us about something crazy or daring that you did and maybe what you learned from it.
  • GrowthEverything is a learning opportunity. A part of community is to challenge one another and discuss how we have been personally stretched. We can learn from one another. It’s one thing to tell a story, it’s another to explain how it helped you grow.
  • Identity:Who are you? What affects how you see yourself? Sometimes it’s a struggle to find our identities, especially if we are searching outside of who God already says we are. We all have a story and they are all different, offering unique insights and mindsets.
  • Just for Fun: Break outside of the box. We appreciate humor, a good story, or any helpful tips you’ve encountered in life.
  • Real Stories: The most anecdotal of our topics and often the rawest. Real Stories are vulnerable and describe in detail (with setting, plot, detail, & characters) a specific life event. These are often more literary in nature.
  • Relationships: We are built for relationships, we are made for fellowship. Talk to us about your friendships, your marriage, your dating experiences, and the wisdom you gained through over the years.
  • Secrets: Got some great tips or advice? Dish.
  • Self-Esteem: It’s an uphill battle sometimes. How do you stay grounded? Have you always been grounded? Are you still struggling? Has your relationship with God effected how you feel about yourself?
  • Male Perspective: We believe it is incredibly important to hear from our brothers. Men have a unique perspective, and often a different insight into the same issues we think about and talk about with our girlfriends. So men, we’d love to hear from you as well.

At She Has Worth, we want to be brave with our stories so others can be brave with theirs.
